Hot spots - Frankston to Patto area

Post by DoctorJ » Mon Feb 16, 2015 7:40 am

Hey all, done most of my fishing from the boat Black Rock northwards, but want to try around the Frankston area, between Frankston and Patto. I like to flick the plastics around and don't know the area at all, can anyone direct me to an area where this type of fishing would work? Thanks guys, any help would be appreciated.

Assuming you don't have a boat, either the Frankston Jetty or the river at Patterson is your best bet.

If you can go a touch further south, pretty much any land based spot ledge/beach/pier/estuary between frankston and safety beach is good.

Stick with black rock then. .
Or go to mornington.
Unless fishing deep. These isn't much in the local shallow reefs compared to black Rock. ..

theres a heap of decent spots around frankston for soft plastic fishing, pinkys are around but i've only been getting small ones latley, and pike are starting to show up around the deeper reefs (6-8m)
Flathead to be had around seaford in 4-6m.
