Best rig

Hey what suggestions have you guys got for a trout rainbow/brown lake fishing rig and bait havnt been having a lot of luck lately, also red fin set ups for the river fishing bait also. Thanks

Get Geoff Wilson's book on knots and rigs, it has some great ideas to try out or have a look at Rex Hunts website.

i normally use a running sinker rig with worms or powerbait as bait with the weight of sinker depending on length of cast needed remeber trout are finicky so light gear is key.

If you have already been catching them, then keep using the same rig, just try different spots.

Fish are a bit like any herd animal, they will migrate and move according to certain patterns,

With all this rain, worms would be the top bait, followed by yabbies.

You could even try using pippies.
