CATCH UP !!!

Post by Treyball » Mon Jul 11, 2016 9:28 am

Been quite busy the last few months working and what not and haven't been able to get on as much.. So here's a few recent trips from the last few months..

My last trout session before the close saw me pull out my pb with a very well conditioned Goulburn river trout.. The Goulburn river was finally at a steady little trickle now giving ample opportunity to cross and fish spots that otherwise had been inaccessible.. The fishing was very slow all day only seeing 2 trout landed for 8 hours of walking.. Right on sunset I found a nice little 200m stretch of riffles which lead to 12 trout hooked 7 landed and another dozen or so follows that failed to hook up.. Trout season made !

Queens birthday weekend we decided to get a charter for my brothers birthday.. We decided to head out with Shaun from think big charters and what looked to be a quite dull gloomy day soon turned into a red hot fishing session.. In an hour and a half we managed to get our bag of squid, so on it was to try our luck on the whiting.. Once again we found the whiting and managed to get 50 before it was time to head back.. With all the guidance and knowledge Shaun had to share + putting us onto the fish (which is a bonus) I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone..

RED HOT !! With such a short break in the weather a few friends and I decided to make the most of it and go for a quick squid sesh around Morno rocks and what a decision that was.. Ended up with 28 squid in 45 minutes.. plenty of bait and a few nights feed !!

last 3 sessions at my local pier (Franga) saw a flurry of salmon and garfish.. once again it was red hot with baits lasting no longer than 30 seconds.. Although their all bay trout size they managed to finally seize one of my little Sienna's.. All in all been a good few months fishing for me.. tight lines !!

P.s is there a limit on how many photos you can post ?? TIA

Have seen quite a few larger models BM just haven't been able to hook into them.. Come trout opening I'll be breaking another pb ;-)
