I think I may have been out the same night (on the Yarra) - no action up this end as yet, but there were also lots of bait fish about, so the signs are good for them appearing some time in the next month. Does anyone have any theories about whether mulloway move up the bay on an annual migration like the snapper? If so, it would make sense that they hit the Patterson first and the Yarra / Maribyrnong and Werribee later.
You hear of them getting caught out in the bay just off st kilda.. Black rock but it's rare the same as you hear them caught off Carrum.. So it could have something to do with a migration.. It's usually bigger models caught out in the bay but one thing is for sure and they always know where home (their hole) is..
