Caught earlier on that week.. I usually vac seal all my bait as soon as I get home so it's as fresh as possible.. Don't usually bleed any fish for bait..

You hear of them getting caught out in the bay just off st kilda.. Black rock but it's rare the same as you hear them caught off Carrum.. So it could have something to do with a migration.. It's usually bigger models caught out in the bay but one thing is for sure and they always know where home (their hole) is..
