land based spot around altona

Hi

Im after a good landbased spot to take my nephew..not somewhere that gets flogged

He cant swim so I cant take him in my boat.

I can swap a secret land based spot for secret kingy spot trip in my boat

Not a secret ,but can get squid off point gellibrand car park.
Need a good west or north with baited float jig n incoming high tide
Also pinky n lj around at times.

Breakwater at williamstown beach. cast straight out the end across front of beach. Dont cast directly out towards bay as that is straight onto reef.

The whole of Altona/williamstown area away from beaches is reefy so difficult for LB.

Werribee Sth marina has to be a good bet. And not too far away. If it blows too much just go over the other side of the wall.

ended up taking him to catch bream in the werrible river

Good choice. Did you guys get into anything?

Also didn't know about the squid thing in Altona. Is it common to get squid though?
