I headed out this afternoon to fish Lang Lang beach for Gummys. With high tide due at 6.00 pm and not too much wind it looked like a good bet.

Just two small Gummys, both undersized and returned, but quite a few mullet on the tiddler rod.

Gave it away about 8.00 pm, too cold, the temperature was down to 4 degrees.

May have been cold and no decent fish for a feed but any time spent with a line in the water is always good.

Always some decent size mullet down towards Lang Lang, just tiddlers or a couple a bit bigger?
Did you use the mullet for the gummys?

Nothing huge, mostly 6 to 8 inches long.

I had one of the rods out baited with mullet but no takers.

Headed out from Warneet Tuesday afternoon but current was very strong and there was a lot of weed. tried Quail bank and the Warneet channel but the current was a bit much. Went to just north of French Island near the park boundary and the current was much more manageable. As going was a spur of the moment decision I was alone and had a lot of trouble anchoring at the drop off so kept being too shallow or deep. Seagulls also stole my bait multiple times as I went to cast into the drop off. Not much around except on the sounder but another session means I have learnt a little bit more.
