The word at Mornington yesterday was that the gars had been firing, to the point people had been taking too many. It was the first time I'd seen Fisheries all year.

Cupla weeks back they were around offshore from Martha Rocks,fluked one on a Whiting rig so tossed out some burley and a float rig, had a lot of fun and pulled a dozen.
Plan is to go after them again with a quiver tip trout rod, good to eat.
