Snapper Out Wide Frankston Port Phillip Bay Ultra Rigz

Fished Out Wide of Frankston Caught some Nice Reds to 5kg And Got This Young Fellow on to his First EVER BIG SNAPPER . We Found the Ultra Rig Was Fishing The Best with Whiting Heads Pinned though Once To keep the Flatheads Away. It took us a good 2 hours to find some Decent Arches. who's finding the flatty's are going Nuts this Season??? cant even soak a Full Pilly.... we end up catching some nice pinkys that were released along with the big flatty that cane caught 55cm

Awesome! Don't fish PPB much but with little current is it perhaps an option to fish weight-less? Stay well away from the bottom might deter the flatties

No need to drop anchor, the damn flathead are taking anything that goes near them even when drifting.

Have to say I'm quite a fan of the large sized Reedys Flasher Rigz....work really well, reasonably priced and easy to buy off ebay (never caught a whiting on the smaller versions, but the flatties love them)
Yet to try an Ultra rig, but they look the goods.
