More midnight missions

After having a very big EP bust me off last week at my feet I had a score to settle last night in between all the rain. Well, more small perch, a just legal Bream, and something either large and pink or long and silver went absolutely spastic for 20 seconds before the hook gave way

Nope. Just the typical Owner snapping issue.

How do you manage your head torch when casting / fishing at night? Use it to ensure not throwing it to a pile of snags then take it off the water - or have it off as much as possible and just cast safely into open water?

I only use it to change plastics or jigheads, removing very fine weed and removing hooks from fish. Cast at both structure and in open water without the headlamp but being in the middle of suburbia with plenty of ambient light there's not many casts that screw up. I'm paranoid when it comes to footsteps, light and moving shadows
