Pumping for Bass Yabbies

Any advice or locations around PPB to pump for some live Bass Yabbies? I scanned through these forums but didn't come across any current or more recent guidance.

Been fishing alongside an older fellow during this lockdown using bass yabbies, and he has been on absolute fire. Although he chucks me one from time to time, he gets very cagey when I ask him where to get these dynamite baits from.

Any advice would be appreciated.

no clue mate but if you do try look for the little holes in the sand i don't know if you get many in port Phillip but i do know that at hastings you can pump them at sometimes of the year.

Great question, they should be pretty available all around the bay, what you're looking for is at low tide large exposed sand bars or mud flats. You'll see these holes and with a bait pump you'll either find bass yabbies or small solider crabs, both holes look different from eachother.

Down my way we get a few along the Bellarine, Barwon Heads, St Leonards all the way to Clifton Springs you'll find them at a low tide. Corio bay has a ton, heres a local pumping them in August this year.
