cheaters W/E 3-4/9/11

Post by cheaterparts » Sun Sep 04, 2011 10:58 pm

well with the wind being what it was on sat the 3rd pulled the pin on yakking and went for a drive looking for new launch spots for later in the year
ended up at bear gully camp ground at cape liptrap and with a bit of a walk up and down the beach it looks ok to launch if the swell is down - bring on the king fish

sunday the wind still looked a bit strong for yak fishing being northerly there arn't a lot of places to get out of the wind
but the arvo gave us a window so with a couple of mates headed to Mornington to chase up some flattys and/or squid

I started out trying for squid with out a lot of luck so with on rod set up with a SP and another with a HB
I did the plastic drift down the beach and trolled a deep HB on the way back into the wind
picked up 2 flatty with the plastic and 1 on the HB
take home fish 45 -40 and a 37 cm
good fish and guess what for tea tomorrow night
