mornington pier

hey im going too mornigton (landbassed) on thrusday or friday just wondering if any thing is bitting ive never been there before. cheers Nick
ps pier or rocks?

The pier is by far your best bet at mornington. Head down to mt Martha if you want to fish the rocks
Angling is the name given to fishing by people that can't fish

i ended up going on a fishing charter instead

not that great the tide and wind was against us so it was hard too feel the bits ended up geting a few kg whiting
and heaps of grass whiting trew them back

Drove past on my way to Martha yesterday. Pier is still unfinished. There were a few guys fishing the rock wall and a few the harbour, didn't see anything get landed but I was only there for 5 mins.

I way out there a couple of weeks a go. There's a sign at the start saying they're going out to tender and will finish late this year. Considering they haven't started I would think a couple of years yet :doh1:

FYI, landed around 20 baby pinkies well undersize before I got sick of them stealing bait so packed up and left. Hopefully they'll visit me next year.
