where to go?

Post by bigdan91 » Thu Jan 16, 2014 11:10 pm

me and a few mates are looking for somewhere within about an hours drive of eastern suburbs melbourne to have a crack this saturday

they are new and have never really caught anything so would be happy just to catch somethign even if its small
we've tried patterson river, mornington pier and warneet a few times but haven't had much luck

anywhere been standout lately or is there a specific species to target at this time of year with this weather?

prefer somewhere kinda quiet with a bit of space to teach friends how to cast without getting tangled all the time

try one of the family fishing lakes if you're desperate, plenty of fish in there

yeah only thing is one bloke had work till 11 so that would make things a bit late

he just pulled out so we might go now

any recommendations on where to go? ive only fished the pondage under the bridge and near the Y junction bit below the weir

is the pondage or the actual lake better?

will trout be biting after this hot weather?

cheers
