Quick fish, Olivers hill, Frankston.

Post by AVG_Fisho » Wed Apr 16, 2014 9:13 pm

Went for a fish in search of some salmon in the boat with my dad, trolling some metals around for a while, Had some success, Although we didn't catch any salmon, we hooked a few pike/snook, Landed 2 and hooked a few squid, landing 2, Although we let the pike and 1 squid go.

Then after dark, we put the boat on the trailer and i decided i would stay at the pier and try my luck for some squid, And i went allright.

hooked 6, landed 3 and kept one.

Good effort i say.

cheers.

Yeah, on the metal lures matt.

I let the small Squid go because they were palm size, no minimum size although i still like to let the small ones go.

Apparently whole fresh squid make an amazing snapper bait. Never experienced it myself, but there is a ridiculous video on youtube of a guy balooning one off the mornington jetty
