No dramas for me you guys, but I'm tipping this albeit a small fee may be enough to deter lots of new users to a different free forum....I don't want to sound like the Grinch, but that's reality online, people want information for free.

The Fishing Victoria Forum will always be free. I have found that members are less likely to give away there fishing secrets and locations to the general public. The VIP sub-forum will allow VIP members access to "sensitive" fishing locations / GPS marks, etc that the member may not want to broadcast to the world. VIP member will also have access to photo competitions.

For the cost of a beer at the pub I think it's an extremely generous offer considering the nature of some of the information that will be shared.

There is a subscription module available for PHPBB forums which is automated, but it will take time to learn and implement.
At the moment I am adding VIP members manually usually very shortly after payments are received. Obviously I can't do it if I am not near a computer/asleep or out fishing. I can guarantee it will be activated within 24 hours after payment has been verified.

Great idea, I am up for it. Would love to be able to upload images larger than 256KB. At least 1MB as attachments. I know it costs server storage space but just an idea.

As others have mentioned it's a great deal and helps enormously in keeping the forum running!

If you don't have a PayPal account, please PM Admin for the ANZ banking details. You can transfer payment via your Internet Banking or deposit at any ANZ branch. Please include your username so payments can be verified.
