Poll: Are emoticons usefull?

Hi all
Am wondering about peoples views on the use of emoticons in your posts. I use them at times and don't mind them. A 'smilie' inserted after a comment which is a joke can be handy. People are then sure you are joking and not serious. I know some members hate them with a vengeance! So I am 'pro emoticon' (its all about emoticon moderation...don't overdo it!) ...what do you think?

They don't bother me at all that much. I think it's up to the individual whether to like them or not I suppose Rod. I think they can mess up a decent report if one puts too many
of them in amongst it. I will often put one or two in a reply but never in a full article. Just my thoughts on it.... "duel:

Some people seem to put more thought into the emoticons they use than the content of the actual post. Lol. It's like hashtags on Facebook. Not bad done in moderation but don't overkill it.
