Went out late this morning had breakfast in cowes on the water at 11 turn of the tide about 1230ish with the tide running out and a north easter we were side on shocker like being in a washing machine we fished our usual spot for two fish a 50 and a 40 then quite, my mate hooked this big eagle ray 30 mins later he gets it to the boat its got lots of hooks in its mouth and a snapper snatcher we removed everything then let it go.
After the tide turned we never turned a reel very quite moved a few times for little gummies rock cod little flat head. Back at the ramp spoke with other people most had thete bag from the corals area all fish caught early in the day.

Thanks jim we would have done better today but we are slow to get on the water. The beauty of westernport if there is a tide change during the day you will still catch. I just came from the rhyll angling club friday night beers my mates a member and the carpark is full to overflowing they are still launching, the corals area is lit up like a christmas tree.
