Are they decent size? The medium to big 1s are beautiful to eat. The small 1s are harder to eat cause of the tiny bones.
Small couta = bait
Medium to big couta = plate

I enjoying eating couta. Great in Panko bread crumbs, with homemade chips and salad

Heaps of couta I've cut the sides off have worms. Never even considered putting them on the table due to that. Normally turn them into a snapper.

The worms cook away to nothing. Not even noticable.
No change to taste either

I thought they had worms 75-80% & lots of bones.
Was out yesterday in Mosquito Channel & they kept stealing my bait. Hooked up 3 & cut up 1 for bait.
