Fishing the eastern entrance
I have been checking out some possible gummy shark haunts and was wondering if anyone has given the eastern entrance a lash?? I have noticed it has quiet a few steep drop offs into deeper water but I also know the tide hammers through this area like there’s no tomorrow so might make it hard work.. be keen to know if anyone else has tried this area with any success. Cheers

There's better gummy spots imo but I have caught a few 5 kilo + around #3 green marker. Banjo city though lol.

Tide is fine, I’d anchor the yak off red point quite often with no issues.

I always just called them either cat/dog/staffy/carpet/swell sharks lol basically everything but what they are actually called.

Re: Fishing the eastern entrance
The biggest problem fishing the eastern entrance is not the fact it doesn't hold fish but the amount of boat traffic throughout a lot of reasonable days.
