what crab is this

My mate sent me a couple of pics of crabs caught locally at fist I thought they were mud crabs but can't believe they could be caught locally . I then thought they may be european green shore crabs but these crabs have paddles european green crabs don't. Any thoughts they were caught in ppb

Definitely looks like a Muddie, perhaps an escapee from an Asian restaurant?

Pretty sure they are muddies. Not the first report of them being caught and I think trumpeter has the right idea of escapees/releasees from somewhere.

Ive caught lots of muddies and it looks like a muddie

But how they got down here is freakish and then survive????

I could understand if it was caught in the warmies but the rest of the bay ?..I dunno ?
