Hey guys

Just a query western port bay catch them all the time but never actually asked what they are.

I have always called them slimey rock cod I cooked one once sweet white meat, for me I can not wait till they disappear it means the water is warming up and the snapper are back.

Yea rock cod. Caught plenty of them at Phillip Island.

Ya was at san remo. Fished cleeland bite most of day not a touch went to the pier and caught like 20 of these things from 20 - 45cm and 1 small gummy shark released all.

I don't mind them, delicate sweet flesh.. though just a tad softish but still ok... when they appear are a sign of cold water now.
