Bass or perch?
this morning's efforts. I'm calling perch but i would like confirmation. Had a bigger fish in the net but he flipped out as i was mucking around getting the bragmat ready
this is a similar sized bass from earlier in the year for comparison

I'd be calling it an EP.
The dip in the head gives it away for an EP., also the gill rakers on a Bass are generally larger and point slightly upwards...as in the pic.
Sometimes it's really hard to tell the difference, especially when they are a hybrid. The only way I can tell is by a creamy colored trailing edge on the pelvic fins for a Bass.

Cheers guys. He was a bit greener than the usual ep from that snag and much fatter. Had a really solid head on him too. Yay new PB!
