Fish ID

First time I've caught one of these. It took a whiting bait while drifting along the edge of a kelp covered pile of rubble in 4m. It was about 20cm long.

Nice solid white meat fresh and tasty too. Frozen turns to a soft mush may as well be thrown to the chooks or dog

Going by the size comparison of the pliers(unless they are oversize) a gummy would have no issues taking it.

i didnt think a gummy would eat them
