Whiting or Wrasse?

Pulled this pretty fish from the pier the other day. Is it a wrasse or whiting? :doh1:

Not sure if thats a whiting. but very pretty as you say. lol
To fish or not to fish...NOT TO FISH ??Yea...like that's even an option !

Whiting, I used to catch them at flinders pier, wrasse are also a lot fatter.

Thanks guys thought it was a grass whiting....it took a squid strip.....

grass whiting. If it took a strip of squid, it was simply trying to get even as squid loves to nail them over the weeds. :-)

very pretty fish and flesh with a light greenish/blue tinge...apparently tastes like crap!

The flesh is smooth and white, texture is like a wrasse.

It is whiting, and it does not taste as good as (not even close to) how the KGW tastes
The Wrasse is different and has much better taste than Whiting in my opinion.
