Western Port Bay Fish ID

Hey all,

this fish was caught in the Channel (18 metres) near Stony Point.

Can someone please help with this species?

I've caught quite a few of these, to be honest the taste wasn't the best. Pretty much flavourless. Could just be my novice cooking skills though :lol:
