Ok I am on my phone and I got no clue what it is lol and the.vic fishing app not helpful as there is few things it could be but I am not sure could someone help thanks guys/girls

Lol thanks for help never thought about scrolling down on that app found it now caught few atm but been throwing them back in as I had no clue another fisherman lol

mate thats a hard one

I doubt this type of fish is caught in the numbers around the bay, especially on the surf using lures in the winter!

You have a difficult one on your hands there mate, good luck with the search! :lolf:

lol smart a.. they been killing me and I couldn't figure it out lol till I got told what it was that one swallowed my hook wasn't happy. caught a bigger one after that but it looked like something got it on the spine it was all bruised so I let it go to fight another fight

So do they all have the 'splotchy' coloring? Looks different to me from some pics that I have seen. Not that I would have known what it was anyway :D

Juvie salmon are like that. The colors fade a bit as they grow and the back tends to be darker. Some surf residents even the big ones can be light colored, almost silver.
