Fish ID needed

Caught a fish and you don't know what it is? Ask here...

Fish ID needed

Hi All

I was fishing down on flinders pier during the week and only managed to catch this small guy,any ideas what it's called?

It might be a long shot,

But if Marlin are now found around the rigs off Victoria, maybe these fellas have come down to Victoria too.

Could be a Silver Biddy, or Southern Silverbelly.

This guy was in the "Saltwater Bait Species" section of my book.

Waddya think?

Don't think it's a gourami the anal fin is alot different

Don't remember seeing a black mark on his Dorsal fin though

Picture of his mouth, he had 2 small horns above his top lip

Yeh, I reckon that's why it could be the southern Silverbelly, it's the one with no black mark.
