Look at where curries are from, mainly poorer areas/ farming areas that use localy caught fish/meat and then their own spices/vegies.

Carp in a curry would suit it well...id be a bit more picky where it was coming from though. Would dream of eating a localy caught one. A river in central vic or somewhere would be better (less chance of nasty polution)

If you are putting kingfish in a curry...take a long hard look at yourself...
I guess if you can catch them easily then it isn't a issue what you do with a kingfish.

Often with the left over flesh from a kingfish or Barra I would use the pieces for a curry..

Kingfish, Snapper and many good eating fish make awesome curries, the better quality the protein, the nicer it tastes I reckon. I mean a proper curry though, where you grind your own spices and make your own pastes. The thought of a Carp curry makes me dry reach but I have eaten it in a soup cooked by a Yugo friend's mum and it was delicious -until I asked her what kind of fish it was!

A sure fire way to cook carp is to clean it and skin it, then place three or four large river pebbles in the cavity.

Wrap it in foil and slow bake it in the coals of a camp fire for a couple of hours.

When you reckon it's done, unwrap the carp and take the river pebbles out.

Throw the carp away and suck on the pebbles.

A friend from Serbia says our wild carp are no good, too muddy.
Their carp are from streams with rocky bottoms, different taste (& breed probably)

What I did like was the other blokes shirt. Wonder how many Bangladeshi cricket fans live in the U.S.
All the palagics fo great in curry.

I've cooked barra and kingfish curry but eating those two fish without curry is probably a better option.

Kingfish are fantastic to eat.
Definitely are mate but for something different they were quite good.

Ill try most things to see if I like it or not so would probably give it a try if it was prepared properly, but other than that I don’t think it’s for me :)
