Has anyone tried Sorrento back beach for surf fishing? I feel like it has a lot of depth very close to the beach.

A mate of mine had a quick go when up there at Christmas. The Asian abalone divers kept tangling his rods.
He old them to go away and they just waved.
He had the last laugh. Fisheries were up the top and caught all of the above fishos.
He got 2 pinkies and a heap.of wrasse.
No go done in peak holiday times..Like.most the places down there...
