Took a mate from Bendigo down to the beach lastnight, were hoping to get a gummy for him, but instead we managed 3 gillers.
Biggest was 7ft2 and around 50kg, smallest 5ft and 15 to 20kg, with one in between lol. It was a very slow night and was a very confused sea, with large swells coming out of nowhere and sidewash one minute and none the next.

I think he is just enjoying rubbbing salt in the wound. :whoh: Got one or maybe two kids next week and they aren't keen on late night fishing.

The littler ones put up a reasonable fight, though a gummy of the same weight would fight harder.
The big one, took a run of 100 odd meters first, then another 2 about 50 to 75m, I didn't know what I had till we saw it :super:

Nothing of the sort, we went, we put in the time and effort in some ordinary conditions. We sat there for 5hrs, before we got a fish and to top it off I only got the one, my mate got the other 2.
