Month of firsts ....

Hi everyone,

Have been lurking on this forum for several months and learning a lot from everyone's contributions and looking forward to making my own to others in due course. A short introduction. I have been fishing on and off for past 30 years however in the past 10-12 years haven't had the time to fish a lot due to work and family commitments. I have been a bait fisherman all these years however always tempted by videos and youtube clips on soft plastics and spinning lures and like most fisherman accumulated a bunch of lures and tried using them without any success. I am currently on a career break with a bunch of spare time and have been out fishing a fair bit these past few weeks with mixed success. After much persistence I managed to snag my first calamari on a Shimano keimura jig and my first sambo on a metal slug. Hence my topic title " month of firsts !" Hoping to back this up with more success in the next few weeks as I am yet to snag a fish on soft plastics.
