Well 3 of us went out last night after work, on the water by six. Wasn't a good start when our new Garmin 75sv kept turning off when on the way to mosquito channel.we found our spot and anchored had 2 pinkies within 10 mins and some good other bites. We moved on to another spot about 200m away just before dark, tried to turn our Nav lights on and nothing! Had a bit of a fish but to no avail decided to try another spot on the way back to corinalla boat ramp as wind was picking up. Tried to start motor just would not fire (an old blue band Merc 80) and when it did fire would only run for a few seconds and when tried putting in gear would stall! We had anchor up and was drifting towards snapper rocks way with about a 17-20 Knott wind. Meanwhile trying to get motor to go! Things started to get scary when waves started to white cap next to us and land looked to be 2-300 metres away.So decided to drop anchor and face our 15 ft boat into the oncoming waves meanwhile the 2 girls were starting to panic abit!
They called family via phone and let them know we were in trouble there was a post on face book I believe
