Not so new, new guy

Post by Geoff Walledge » Sat Jun 10, 2017 6:19 pm

Hi all,
Been a member now for a month or so, haven't had the time to sit down and say Hi yet, there's some great reading for sure ...

I don't have a fishing or boating background so it's been a hard slog to get this far; I've been fishing freshwater since my late teens and bought my first boat in 2007. Recently upgraded to the Revival from a 32yr old Mustang half cab and love the confidence she brings to my boating efforts.

My wife can't always make it, and the lad's just got his P's so there's often a seat or 2 free if anyones interested ... I'm into long walks by the beach, puppies and sunsets ...

I'd love to try some offshore fishing sometime but really ... I just love being out on the water :victory:

Thanks for having me and talk to you all again soon.

G'day and welcome Geoff, cheers davo
It's an exhilarating feeling catching a fish
But it's an even better feeling releasing them

Welcome aboard captain, I also like long walks by the beach, puppies and sunsets although I like sunrises much more especially when I'm on the ocean.

Now that's funny .. .yeah, it does always tend to be sunrise hey.

Heading over to Hastings tomorrow, wife in tow and maybe the lad. The tides don't fit with some afternoon plans so we can keep our launch to gentlemans hours at least.

Trying for some whiting but who know's what else will have a chomp. Taking some pillies, Pippies and a bit o' squid. 1/0 to 3/0 hooks. We'll be fishing the incoming tide.

Figured I'd start North of Lysaghts and make my way down thru 3 or 4 marks to Tortoise Head before heading back around midday.
