Long term reader of the forum and lost my old acc details, have meet a few from here and was put off last time I registered for a decky and had a guy decide that he would not rock up or call to let me know after I got to the ramp at 4am.

Anyway..

I’m located in the south east of melbourne and looking for a decky who is reliable and humble sort of person.

Not really after big egos...

Launching most from carrum during the snapper hunt or top end of western port.

Dont get put off by the odd one or 2 ppl that have no deckie editcity.

There will be someone who will jump on it.
When days you mostly go out?

Welcome back, nothing worse than giving some one the opportunity to fish from a boat and they don't rock up.

It's plain courtesy which some people don't understand the meaning of, a sad reflection of the times we live in.

Having said that I'm sure you will find a reliable decky this time.

Name and shame him....there are people on this website that would give their left arm for that opportunity.

Hi Captain welcome to the forum again.
I'm located near Hastings and am available for decky duties, I believe I have the qualities you're after, just want to enjoy fishing and good company and relax on the water. Also reliable and always keen to do my share.
I work during the week mostly but occasionally have days off in the week, message me and I'll jump on board I can.

Amen to that..
Plenty of people here looking for an opportunity like that mate.
its very good of you to offer this opportunity up to the ones that dont have a boat (or like me that have a smaller boat not capable in **** weather)
tell us more about yourself, what sort of boat do you have, how much experience and do you fish bait/lures or a bit of everything.
im sure theres plenty of guys to jump on the opportunity to get out on the snapper.

there are quite a few members here who decky regularly on other members boats (me included) so once you work out who your comfortable to go out with then your almost guranteed a permamnet decky most times.

Good luck, and i hope you have a better experience from the forum this time around.

Will name and shame another time...

Right now fish mainly weekends - early morning, and occasional weekdays.

Have a plate 5.5 half cabin, pretty experienced and have done the odd solo trip.

Happy to provide rods, baits etc.

Just good company and someone who ideally knows how to fish
