Hi from Macedon Ranges

Post by critch » Sat Feb 03, 2018 6:19 pm

Hi everyone,

My name is Luke, I'm based in the Macedon Ranges. A mate took me out on his boat last week and I had a ball, so I'm looking to have a go at this fishing business and do some land based fishing around the northern end of the bay.

Went out to Williamstown breakwater this morning, was meant to be diving from there so I got there a few hours early to go for a fish. My diving buddy then called it off so I got the whole morning for fishing - and I caught nothing. No surprise there - got no idea what I'm doing.

Looking forward to learning lots and eventually catching some fish!

Hi mate. You should have a crack at the fresh too. Jacksons Crk and upper sections of the Maribyrnong river, think i spelt it right, are good trout waters. If you can get on to some sections of the private from Wild Wood and Bulla you may be surprised. As a kid I caught some great trout there.
