New members

Post by Wolly Bugger » Fri Apr 26, 2019 11:33 am

It would appear that two new members stopped being active on Monday the 22nd.
Fishon4reel and AzCoy

My guess is both of these members were young and naive about how this forum operates.
I think there are times we need to show some compassion for new members and not scare them away.

Regards
Wolly

I'd be more worried about the older members that have dropped off

Is it any coincidence that school has started and hence why the activity has dropped off?

I mentioned as soon as they started posting they were schoolkids.
They were just trolling and nothing else..

I had much more sympathy for Fishon4reel than I did for AzCoy. I reckon AzCoy was blatantly posting simply to boost his ranking whereas Fishon4reel was genuinely, if naively, looking for suggestions and support. I hope he continues to read posts and re-joins before too long.

I'd be more worried about the older members that have dropped off

I'd be concerned about , , , , everyone.

Yes compassion, also respect and understanding.

Yes there are kids here , , , , Matari a classic example, a great kid and a great member.

But what about:
*The member who is going through a Divorce.
*The member who is being made redundant and worried about how he is going to pay his bills.
*Sadly and unfortunately, some members are probably fighting terminal illness.
*The list goes on to infinitude.

We are all here, all kinds of "us", so lets do as Wolly said Compassionate , , , , even respectful and understanding.

As far as the kids , , , , lets not jump the gun on trolls and get these kids caught up in our over-exuberant rebutting.
If you think a profile is a troll , , , , ignore it , , , , simplzzzz

Give it some time and it is going to be not many if we keep going the way we are, just look at the other Fishing Forums on how they have gone.

With fish4onreel kid, I just trying to give sense of real media world is. To my experience and understanding to you can't make a show without pre-production plan because when you produce it I feel doesn't have any sold material to work on. I understand that when a bit over board with him. The world of show and entertainment is dog eat, eat dog (sorry for this phrase). I very testing the kid is will power, passion and I am willing to work with kid to help produce the show. If he still around.
