New kid in the block
Hi All ,
firstly i am learning a lot from this forum , thanks to all the contributors for sharing the wealth of information and experience
about me, i am new here. I migrated to Melbourne , Australia about 2 years ago. settled in Seabrook suburb (West of Melbourne ) , just recently started fishing game
now i am spending half of the time learning about the rigs , locations , baits and types of species around PPB and fresh water. The rest of the time i spend to get my hands dirty. So far i managed to catch and release a short fined eel in Cherry lake . Thats the only successful cast , other time i did not land anything but enjoyed and learned a lot.
Looking forward to meet new & experienced anglers for local land based fishing and learn from them.

Welcome to the forum
Your life is is going to be more exciting as you learn more about fishing.

Welcome Ric, good luck with your fishing
Just to the right of Cherry Lake carpark, is a gap between the reeds.
Fishing on the edge of the reeds, with corn on a running sinker, caught a stonker carp, nearly lost my rod.
Cheers Gra

Re: New kid in the block
Welcome mate, why don't you try fishing off Altona pier or Williamstown? Theyre both short distance from where you are and can produce some amazing fish. Anyways goodluck on your trips, hope to read some reports from you

Re: New kid in the block
Thanks Mate. Yes, I have been to ALTONA Pier once and on that day it was quite windy and my small sinker refused to do any good. Will be going back again with large sinker soon.
Williams town and Werribee south pier on my list. Soon will be casting there.
