Just went back and had a look at the PB salmon i got. 67cm @3.9kg so certainly a bit of weight difference between them.
i measured this one with bathroom scales though, so not 100% sure on exact weight tbh.

Length to weight is a peculiar thing. I saw an argument that went biffo at the Whyalla cleaning table once, when a bloke claimed his Snapper was +10kg , even though it was short in length. But man o man it was a chunky fish, big gut and thick across the shoulders. We were there before it was scaled and gutted and it did look +10kg, but with the gutting it didn't have that "ominous" look about it anymore. But scaled and gutted, it still went a high 9kg. My opinion, which we kept reaffirming to Biffoman, that it did look over 10kg.

(measure Snapper in kilos boys not lbs, 20 lbs is 2lbs short of 10kg, hence why some use lbs, 20lbs sounds better than "just over 9kgs")

ps. Biffo was between the two other blokes.
no Bugatti's were hurt in this story :-D

Cheers, Bug

Guys,
Before this escalates any further.
I was reflecting on what Carl said about the difference in weight, between all the 60cm plus fish I have personally caught...
This last fish I got didnt have fat guts like some of the others did..

Cheers
