Epic session..

Post by CarlG » Fri Nov 14, 2014 4:48 pm

Got a call from Adtrac last night, to the tune of 'get your backside down here, 'coz it's on'...mad rush later, met him on the sand, and he wasn't kidding, utter madness ensued for the next 2 hours, with fish chasing lures across the surface, smacking them on the drop, engulfing them, and just generally going off their nuts. We stood and watched them jumping 80-90 metres out, not sure whether they were chasing or getting chased, but they were full throttle. We both bagged out, gave fish away, and even cheered ones we dropped in the wash as they zoomed down the beach to freedom...mad, mad night..pics to follow..

Was less than 5km away on a rock ledge and not a single salmon in sight.

Well done Carl.

That's a fair effort Carl. You and Adam have had some ripper sessions at the Gun this year.

Yeah, cheers mate, has been a very good year, but thursday would have to be in my top three ever down there..Was very surprised how long they sat in the one place, just moving in and out of reach over two hours..still can't figure whether they had a patch of baitfish herded up, or if something had them herded up..kinda lean towards the former though, as there were a lot of surfers right next to them, and if there were a couple of bronzies there, surely they would have spotted them..?
