Burkley trout Nuggets and soft plastics?

Post by ChrisD » Wed Aug 29, 2012 1:59 pm

Hi All
I have been very slow to convert to soft plastics or Burkley trout nuggets, most of the articles I see related to soft plastics seem to relate to salt water, not fresh water. Can anyone offer advise on the effectiveness of both on trout, redfin, perch or even carps, roach and eels?
Main area I get to is the Yarra through Wonga Park, Rowville lakes....and when there is water back again Lilydale lake.
Thanks

I have never used trout nuggets but from what I have heard they are successful on stocked trout - without a doubt. Don't think they are that attractive to the species you mentioned that are 'wild' including trout. As for soft plastics, fine on trout and spectacular on redfin. Were you talking about soft plastics in general or the Berkley brand?
thanks

Thanks Jim

Soft Plastics in General. Sounds like I need to to get a few and give them a go.
Might get some of the nuggets, since Rowville and Lilydales lakes are stocked, so they should work by the sounds of it.

Thanks
