No stress Mazman! Not fishing to keep the fish. Just fishing for the thrill!

Cheers Dman

Just a further word on bait, especially worms. If by chance they receive a bit of rain before you go and the water is discolored, worms will come into their own as opposed to using lures in dirty water.

jim your right the chances of catching trout on lure after rainfull is low chuck some worms in and you'll probally get some (especially worms from local area don't know why but they work better)

Finally i can contribute!

If you want to try something slightly different and enjoy a trip at the same time, cruise up to Falls Creek about 5pm. Have an early-ish dinner at one of the resteraunts then head down to Pretty Valley Dam about an hour before sunset. You'll come to a fork in the road, one heading for the causeway and one to the dam wall (it is well marked) . Take the right to the dam wall. From the dam wall there is a small bay coming around to about 180 degrees clockwise. Anywhere from the start of the wall to where the shore goes from bending clockwise to anti clockwise is an amazing spot to spin smallish brown and rainbow trout. I've had the most success with blue on gold celta's and small rainbow patter Rapala minnows. It's very user friendly terrain and ideal for kids if you have them.
