me and my mates have been fishing werribee south beach recently n the salmon have been on the bite flat out... be sure to go while the sun is up... also down near the pier there have been a few bream caught too

went down to werribee yesterday evening 7 casts 7 ozzy salmon great evening and topped it off with catching a nice flatty before packing up around 9pm

Good on ya mate! I've been there for fishing bream for a couple of years, having the impression that salmons come in this time but only for a few hours and they go, so you were lucky to be there at the right time! Breams are getting smaller and less since too many people are targeting them.. i saw 2 local guy always fishing at the closest point to the pier from the beach, they must be there everyday...
for flatties.. it would be luxury if you got one there.. too less... i'd say more people on the beach than flatties in the water.. lol

I know a better spot where a 3kg salmon is average size

Guess it doesn't always happen.. due to the salmons' moving nature.. you need to lucky enough to be there at the right time.

They always say that where is a lot of snags is where you find a good fish :) ... where is this spot Slinga and have you been there latelly?
