The Mornington pier is to have the outer 75m section rebuilt :thumbsup:

So, that means this pier is out of the list of my fishing piers for the next few years, or maybe more :)

About time they're doing something to the rest of the pier. I am more than happy to feel some pain in the short term for long term enjoyment. Looking forward to the completion of the pier and the break water.

It mentions wave screens? Will these affect where you can cast?

I think the wave screens will be along the seaward side of the pier, and no they will not affect where you can cast, but they will provide more areas to get snagged in under the pier.


Apparently mornington pier was a lot bigger than it is today.
