Reef rumours
Heard that if you fish from the rotunda next to station pier and cast out to the left that there is a small reef. Is this true and has anyone tried it? Also is fishing allowed from there?

yes you can fish there but you will be playing russian roulette with your terminal tackle, sinker and hooks gone! If you are on a tub be mindful of the no boating zone

quite a few reasons:MIKER wrote:Good ol'Station pier , not much Angling action considering its depth & size .
1. Parking is very limited on this area and expensive too.
2. They will inspect all your stuff, bags, pockets and all cracks they can find.
3. they will kick you out at 8PM just when the fish are about to have their dinner.
4. too many northern pacific star fish. they will swarm on your bait in minutes
No wonder no one wants to go to that place.
