wolly, is the mushroom reef area in flinders still closed? there are big whiting the trevs on that area on the edges of the reef.....

Great little map mate I think the venus bay area is a great underrated fishing spot, my grandfather lives there so iv done a fair bit of fishing around this area, and must admit its one of my favourite places to go to target gummys off the surf.

Sadly Mushroom reef is a fishing sanctuary, it actually looks like a mushroom at low tide. But I guess you could still fish the edges at the point.

I used to send big baits out there under a float during low tide....ahh greenies! :angry: It used to be one of the best fishing spot in Flinders then they closed it about 6 years or so ago. :angry: :bat:
