Re: Timely reminder on safety
Strange story???
One article only mentions one bloke (the one in hospital) slipping and losing footing and falling in and nothing about the others.
Another article says 7 washed off rocks. No real info on this -Oh and chuck in 2 Divers to spice it up (they seemed ok anyway)???
Must be early silly season with everyone trying to avoid the rush -epic fail
Hmmm were any fish or fishing gear injured in the making of this production
But Yes - No Fish is Worth Dying For

above is from the story -- maybe only one couldn't get out of the water in a short time or had some other problems that accounted for the extra problems

Re: Timely reminder on safety
Was at Cape Schanck 2 weekends ago with the missus sightseeing. Was pretty disappointed with some of the behaviour there...aside from the littering there were a lot climbing over guide rails and navigating their way down rocks for views closer to the water. Presume these were the types who were washed off.

Re: Timely reminder on safety
Reminders aren't required. People are stupid, and common sense is getting rarer, that's the issue. Only a matter of time till it'll be mandatory to wear a lifejacket fishing LB too imo. Afterall, we do live in a nanny State with sheep who can't think for themselves...

Re: Timely reminder on safety
Heard about the divers off Cape Shank. Apparently the divers got swept away from the boat due to strong currents and big swell, so the capt called it in. Hmm...what were they doing in the water if the conditions were crap? No common sense...
