Bass river, Phillip island
Has any one fished the Bass river in Phillip island were it meet with the ocean ? Any tips or even species would be awesome.

I dont know if you can get down to the mouth land based but in the yak you can get some monster Gars at times 30 - 40 cm from around the mouth
just outside the mouth there are some realy good grounds but out of reach land based

Could u show me a picture on a map and il see if its the right place I've only ever seen this place on a map an looks very fishy . I also need directions

I tend to use coles/safeways food grade banana prawn for most things in WP - just cut them up in smaller pieces
theres not much that wont take it over the last couple of seasons I've used it for anything from whiting to Gummys
