caught a 25cm redfin in lilydale late last year.
There are HEAPS in Rowville lakes, was getting about 5-6 chasing my SP's and Rapala's last time i tried, Warmer months seem to fair much better though ofc.

At Rowville, do you fish at the main lake or smaller lake? What were the sizes?sasquatch972 wrote:caught a 25cm redfin in lilydale late last year.

They are in all 3 lakes in Rowville. Bigger ones usually in the small lakes or out far deep in the main lake. A lot of tiny 10-15cm ish ones around the playground area. Bait works better on the tiddlers

Thanks eddyt. Might hit up rowville on the next trout stocking to practice my fly casting. it's a still lake in a built up area so good training grounds.
