Flathead

Post by Raulfc7 » Sat Oct 27, 2012 11:21 am

Hit the pier last night chasing snapper, plenty of wind and waves :cold: but the reds were not interested, instead caught two nice flathead one 49cm 850grams and the other 45cm 750grams. It wasn't what I was chasing but :dinner: tonight is going to taste great.

Nice work!

A tasty by-catch is better that no catch at all!

A good and tasty catch R7, well done. The odd flathead me and my mate catch at Brighton breakwall are around 45cm, a nice size. Hanging to get down there soon and see what is happening. Some friends went last week but only caught undersize pinkys.

Yeah, the similar thing happened to me last week. I was chasing snappers at a local pier and got a couple of flathead by chance, along with a few pinkies. But you know what?? When I gave a serious go targeting flathead the other day I got a big zero and even no pinkies :yucky:  .
